Schools to reopen on Apr 24 as ministry revises Eid holidays

Earlier, if an Eid fell on a weekend, the general rule was to close the schools for two more days.

The government on Monday reduced the holidays for school children on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr by a day and revised the academic calendar to reopen schools on April 24.

The change has been made in the revised academic calendar published by the education ministry on Monday.

As per the previous version:

Sunday and Monday of that week remained closed

Classes were scheduled to resume on April 25 after the Eid holidays

Earlier, if an Eid fell on a weekend, the general rule was to close the schools for two more days.
