Tree Top opens Maldives' first fertility clinic with IVF service
Although the service is yet to receive Aasandha insurance coverage, Tree Top says it is in talks to include the servive in the national health insurance scheme.

Tree Top Hospital on Monday opened the first fertility centre set up in Maldives to provide IVF treatment to people suffering from infertility and other fertility related problems.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the centre at Tree Top, one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the Maldives.
People with fertility problems spend a lot of money on IVF and IUI to have a child. With the fertility centre opened at Tree Top, several Maldivian families will be able to get access to the treatment without having to travel abroad.
The treatment is priced at MVR 46,000.
Although the service is yet to receive Aasandha insurance coverage, Tree Top says it is in talks to include the servive in the national health insurance scheme.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony Tree Top's COO Adil Moosa said that the service will bring a major revolution in the country's healthcare system.
Adil said that fertility issues are being dealt with by many people all over the world and it is a common problem in a small population like the Maldives as well.
"Hundreds of Maldivians go abroad every year to seek treatment. Their treatment is successful and they achieve the joy of having a baby for the first time in their lives," he said.
