Police: Azhan went to Hiya tower from guesthouse; last seen near Red Bull turf ground
Police urged the public to report any news on Azhan’s whereabouts immediately.

Mohamed Azhan, who was reported missing on 18 September, was in a guesthouse in Hulhumale phase one and was last seen near the Red Bull turf ground, police said Sunday.
Azhan, 27, a resident at Hulhumale phase two, was reported missing by his family around 7pm the following day. He had left home at 6 in the morning on 18 September and had not returned since.
Police said on social media Sunday afternoon that Azhan was last located near the 13th tower of Hiya flats in phase two. According to police reports on CCTV findings, he got into a white taxi at approximately 4:53am on Sunday near Hiya 13.
However, a police statement on Sunday evening said that the police had been able to trace Azhan’s movements after that:

On September 18, Azhan went to the 13th tower of Hiya Flat in the early hours of the morning after leaving the guesthouse he was staying in, by car.

After entering the tower, he had again left and climbed into a white taxi and returned to the guesthouse in phase one.

Drivers of the two taxis have been identified.

Azhan has not left for any other atoll or country by air.

His last location is now believed to be near the Red Bull turf ground; police are looking into CCTV footage in the area.

Azhan's family told Atoll Times on Saturday that he had last left the house, to their knowledge after midnight on 17 September. His family is also aware that he spoke to a friend over the phone in the morning of 18 September and that there has been no news since then.
Azhan’s sister told Atoll Times that nothing had gone wrong at home, and neither could she notice anything was different when Azhan had gone out. She added that Azhan had not spoken to her about anything suspicious.
