Immigration allows direct passport applications via phone
This is a change brought to reduce the amount of paper used and make it easier to serve people.

Instead of submitting paper forms or scanned forms, passport applications can now be directly made via the phone.
Until now, people had to apply for their passports by physically filling out forms, scanning it and uploading the scanned copy to a portal. Now people can easily apply for passports over the phone through the Immigration’s Imuga portal.
This is a change to reduce the amount of paper used and make it easier for people to apply
The service was temporarily provided by Immigration last year. Last year, those going to Umrah during Ramadan were given the opportunity to apply for passports through the portal until the end of Ramadan.
