NCIT hails over 50k digital ID users in 3 months of public testing
Before the official introduction of Digital ID, the service was opened to Android and iOS users on May 31 on a trial basis.
More than 50,000 people have installed the digital ID, which is being developed for use in a range of government-provided services, since it was made available to the public, the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) said on Monday.

To experience digital ID, users need to install the EFaas application on their phone.
In a statement, NCIT said that within three months of opening the digital ID to the public:

Over the past three months, NCIT has:

More than 68 portals and applications using EFaas now support 'scan to login', which allows users to access services by scanning QR codes without entering username, password and OTP

The digital ID can be used on domestic flights and health services

For domestic air travel, digital ID can be used to buy airline tickets, check-in with airlines and as as passenger identification document at security checkpoints

Digital ID can now be used at all health facilities such as hospitals and health centres
