Govt plans to reclaim 215 hectares in UTF
The area where the land and flats are given is not directly linked to the port, north of the lagoon.

Housing ministry on Sunday released a chart showing the area that will be dredged in the Uthuru Thila Falhu (UTF) for the allocation of land and flats, with plans to reclaim 215 hectares of land.
UTF, which will house a Maldivian Coastguard port being constructed under an Indian loan, will provide land and flats to residents of the Male area, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced on Saturday. The opportunity to apply for the land and flat was opened on Sunday.

778 people who qualified in the first round of the Binnveriya scheme but did not get land will be given land in this round
According to the chart released by the ministry, it is planned to dredge most of the lagoon except for the area reserved for the construction of the army port. The area where the land and flats are given is not directly linked to the port, north of the lagoon.
According to this chart:

215 hectares of land will be dredged

The total area of the land is 5,525,000 sqft
The deadline for applications for land and flats under the second phase of the Binnveriya and Gedhoruveriya schemes will expire at 3 pm on October 24.
Conditions for applying for the flats:

Must have been a resident of Male for 15 years (main applicant only) or have been a continuous resident of the city for 15 years (main applicant only)

The applicant and co-applicant must not have previously received housing from any government housing project

The applicant must not have purchased, or entered into an agreement to purchase and begun paying for, a privately constructed housing unit of 600 sqft or more in Male (applicant and co-applicant).

The main applicant on the date of this application must not have given or sold to any person (applicant and co-applicant) any property of 600 square feet or more acquired for residential purposes in the city within the last 3 years.

Not earning more than MVR 60,000 per month (main applicant and co-applicant separately)

Be 18 years of age
Conditions for applying for land:

Be 18 years of age or older

Have not received land before under the Binnveriya scheme or the Veshi-Fahi Male Programme

Must have lived in Male for at least 20 years or never been included in the residential register of an island other than Male

Not having acquired, or registered in name, a land title or private land of more than 600 sqft in the Male region

If there is a land plot, private land, housing unit, row house or flat of less than 600 sqft in the Male region, the applicant must agree to vacate such land
-
If a housing unit, row house or flat constructed in any island under a government housing project is registered in the name of the applicant, or if an agreement has been signed for the purchase and sale of such property within a specified period, must agree to let it go

Agree to release the portion of the land, housing unit, row house or flat in any island in Maldives that the applicant stands to inherit
