An elderly man has been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) emergency room after a second accident in Male on Friday.
After four cars collided on the Male-Hulhumale Highway on Friday, a second accident occurred near Oxygen Restaurant on Bodothakurufanu Magu. The elderly man who was injured in the second accident is being treated at the IGMH.
A 74-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries in the accident at 7:45 pm, IGMH spokesperson Hawwa Afeefa told Atoll Times.
"He is being treated in the emergency room," she had said, without giving further details.
Police have not yet commented on the incident.
