Director of Transition Abdul Raheem Abdulla has said that due to lack of support from some government offices, the work has been delayed beyond expected and the current target is to complete the work by Friday.
To form the new government, President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu has formed 15 committees with about 400 delegates earlier this month. Director General of Transition Abdul Raheem attended a Sangu TV programme on Wednesday and spoke about the progress of the work.
"Some places are cooperating very well. Unfortunately, some agencies are not cooperating properly. There are delays in providing the requested information," he said.
He said he was satisfied with the work of the committees and that although it was a difficult task, it was going very well. He said:

The committees initially targeted to complete their work by Tuesday

However, the work could not be completed on that date due to lack of cooperation from some offices
"We are now aiming to complete the work by the 20th [Friday]. The work of the cooperating agencies is now complete and the report is being finalised”, he explained.
"We are looking to get all the committees to reporting within the next two days," he said.
Once the reports are completed, the committees will disclose the information gathered, he said.
