The Fisheries Ministry has fined 20 foreign vessels for illegally fishing in Maldives' Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Foreign fishing boats occasionally enter Maldives' economic zones and conduct illegal fishing. The Fisheries Ministry said 20 such fishing boats have been investigated and fined. However, the ministry did not say how much.
