Sifainge Welfare Company (SIWEC) has been awarded the contract of MVR 22.9 million to prepare the Republic Square for the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Dr Mohmmed Muizzu.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place in the afternoon of November 17. The Republic Square has been fenced for the preparations.
The tender board awarded the work to SIWEC, the army's business unit, for MVR 22.9 million, the parliament secretariat told Atoll Times on Sunday.
The work, awarded last Thursday, covers:

Responsible for all the preparations for the entire ceremony and the day of the ceremony

Includes catering, event setup, and other arrangements
Muizzu will be sworn in as Maldives' eighth president and the first to assume the office after winning both rounds of a presidential election.
About 3,500 people, including foreign leaders, international media and foreign ambassadors, have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony.
