President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu returned to Maldives on Saturday from an unofficial visit to Singapore.

Muizzu departed from Maldives on October 30. It was his first trip abroad since winning the presidential election in September.

The president-elect's office has not disclosed any details except that Muizzu was visiting Singapore with his family.

Muizzu will be sworn in as president on November 17. Preparations for the ceremony are underway.
