Three members of the majority party, the MDP, have expressed interest in becoming the deputy speaker of the parliament.
The no-confidence motion against deputy speaker Eva Abdulla was tabled for Sunday's session. Eva resigned from her post when she had the opportunity to respond to the no-confidence motion against her.
