The President said that the work will be completed as scheduled and then other activities planned in the area will continue.
"The second phase of Hulhumale is an area that has not been given much attention yet. As I promised during my campaign, the foundation stone laid today is the foundation stone for the development of this area in all its meanings," he said.

One of the biggest promises President Muizzu made to the people of the Hiyaa during the campaign was to provide MVR 200,000 in compensation for the finishing of the flats. To fulfill that promise, MVR 100,000 will be deducted from the total price of the flats, and the government has declared that the rest will be deducted from the rent.
