Eight incumbent Members of Parliament (MPs) have won the primary held on Saturday to select Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
A total of 11 current MPs contested for the upcoming parliamentary elections. They are:

The remaining MPs that contested in the primary, Gasim, Rozaina and Ibrahim Shareef, did not win the ticket.
The tickets were won in these constituencies by:

Kelaa Constituency - Ahmed Ghalib 165 votes; the incumbent Shareef received 140 votes

Feydhoo North Constituency - Ahmed Shareef 251 votes; the incumbent Rozaina received 221 votes and lost

Keyodhoo Constituency - Mohammed Niushad 113 votes; the incumbent received 106 votes
