Government on Wednesday awarded a project to MTCC to pave the roads of AA. Ukulhas with asphalt for around MVR 59 million.
Planning ministry and MTCC signed an agreement for the project on Wednesday at a function held at the ministry, along with the project to build an airport in F. Magoodhoo.
According to the planning ministry:

The project was awarded on a design and build basis

The cost of the project is MVR 59.4 million
-
Due to be completed in 450 days
Under the project:

10 2,678-metre roads to be developed
-
sewerage system to be set up
-
A settlement tank will be set up
-
Cable junction box to be buried
-
4,193 square metres of pavement
-
14,452 square metre carriageway area
-
Streetlights will be installed
-
Road signage will be installed
-
Zebra-cross and speed breakers will be installed

Road safety signs to be installed
