President declares Maaddoo part of Eydhafushi
The President on Monday issued a resolution declaring Maaddoo as part of Eydhafushi.

President Mohammed Muizzu declared Maaddoo is a part of Eydhafushi at a meeting held in B.Eydhafushi on Sunday evening, and it was designated so Monday.
The only way to solve the land crisis in Eydhafushi is to add another island under the jurisdiction, and as part of the bigger island, he said at a meeting held in Eydhafushi in his visit to the northern atolls.
The President said he would hand over the documents to the island council this week.

Under the powers conferred on the President under the Decentralization Act, Maaddoo is now declared as part of B.Eydhafushi

With this, B.Maaddoo, which was previously an uninhabited island, will become a part of the atoll’s capital, Eydhafushi.
