Maldives to cap utility bills during Ramadan
From this month of Ramadan onwards, no matter how much the load increases, more will not be charged during any Ramadan in utility bills.

Electricity and water bills will be kept stable during the month of Ramadan, President Mohammed Muizzu announced Sunday.
The President announced this while speaking to the people of B. Eydhafushi on Sunday evening.
The President said that every Ramadan, electricity and water bills are higher than other months, and he has heard the distress of the people.
"This time it will not be the same. It will be capped at the rate it is in a normal month, which means it will not go above that. The water bill and electricity bill will be the same as in a normal month," he said.
