HDC announces sale of over 100 land plots from main industrial island
HDC said that Thilafushi will be developed to provide opportunities to businessmen.

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced that more than 100 plots of land will be allocated to businesses in Thilafushi.
HDC on Wednesday announced the sale of 108 plots of land for commercial and industrial purposes. The details of the land for sale are:

64 lots of 2,500-4,999 sq ft

42 lots of 5,000-9,999 sq ft

Two lots of 10,000-14,999 sq ft
The HDC said bids for the land should be submitted through its bid portal. No further details were given.
HDC last announced the sale of land in Thilafushi a year ago. The starting price of the bid was MVR 1,700 per sq ft.

If the lands are sold together, HDC will receive more than MVR 1 billion
In the announcement for the sale of the land, HDC said that Thilafushi will be developed to provide opportunities to businessmen. The company will always strive to complete important development projects as soon as possible and provide benefits to the people as soon as possible, the HDC said.
Thilafushi has recently dredged 120 hectares of land. This government has now decided to establish the main commercial port in Thilafushi instead of Gulhi.
