A Maldivian woman who went to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage died in Mecca on Wednesday evening.
The Islamic Ministry said that the deceased is Fathimath Hafeeza, Hafeezee-Hiyaa/R.Hulhudhuffaaru.
The 80-year-old woman’s funeral prayers will be held at Masjid al-Haram, the Islamic Ministry said. The ministry did not give further details.
This pilgrim was treated for a heart attack last Monday. Islamic Minister Dr Mohammed Shaheem Ali Saeed said she was in good condition afterwards.
