New Police Commissioner (CP) Ismail Naveen has said that he will uphold the values of the police institution and fulfil his responsibilities with integrity.
Naveen expressed gratitude for the congratulatory messages received upon his appointment. In a Facebook post published on Tuesday night, he acknowledged the responsibilities associated with the position.
“I hope to uphold the values of the Maldives Police Service and work to carry out its mission with integrity and sincerity,” Naveen wrote.
Naveen joined the Maldives Police Service in 2006. Over the past 19 years, he has served in multiple senior roles, including Head of the Corporate Services Directorate, Head of the People Directorate, Head of Central Policing Command, and Head of the Forensic Services Directorate.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Northumbria, United Kingdom.
