Police are investigating a case of assault on a child in a corridor of a Hiyaa flat.
A video of a child being abused in front of the elevators inside a Hiyaa flat circulated on social media last week.
As is visible in the video:
-
One male is seen threatening the child, knocking him to the ground and kicking him, 3 others look on, including the one recording it
-
After the abuse, the child is told to run home within 15 minutes; and can be heard to repeatedly say 'take off'
-
The injured child was also heard crying
The video came to the attention of police on Wednesday, and the incident is being investigated, police informed the media.
However, the investigation into the video has not yet identified the suspects, police said. Therefore, it is not certain whether only children are involved.
"Anyone with information about the video is asked to contact police," police said.
