A man who got injured during a police arrest is being treated.
A 38-year-old man was injured when police attempted to take him into custody to appear at a drug court hearing before 1 pm on Tuesday, and now is being treated at IGMH, police said.
The man's family has expressed serious concerns about police actions in the incident.
Due to this incident they have also asked the Police Professional Standards Command, the National Integrity Commission and the Human Rights Commission to investigate the matter.
Some news outlets reported that the man sustained serious injuries to his head and backbone when he fell from the roof of a house while trying to escape from being taken into police custody.
