The Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) has urged students to ensure that the higher education courses offered in Maldives are approved by the authority before enrolling.
MQA has issued a notice on Wednesday urging this. The MQA said that before enrolling for a course, it should be verified that the programme was advertised as prescribed by the agency. The authority has asked potential graduates to check whether the course is on the list of courses approved by the MQA.

MQA took action against Clique College and Avid College last month for running courses illegally.
The MQA began investigating these colleges after receiving complaints about the courses offered there. Action was taken against the two colleges under the Program Accreditation Rules.
