Parliament extends session for a week

The parliament on Tuesday approved an extension of the session for another week.
In Tuesday's 80 members voted in favour of adjourning the session.
According to the rules of the parliament, the session expires on August 15. However, the parliament on Tuesday passed to extend the term until August 26.
According to the rules of the parliament, the sessions of the parliament are into three parts:

First session - 1 February to 15 May

Second session - 1 June to 15 August

Third session - 1 October to 30 November
The first session of each session shall be held on the first Monday or first Thursday following the date of commencement of that session. The closing session shall be held on the last Thursday or Monday of the session.
Meanwhile, the judiciary committee of the parliament on Tuesday passed a motion to begin the removal of Hussain Shameem from the post of Prosecutor General (PG).
