President Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday designated the Communications Authority of Maldives, previously under the Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, to function under the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology, effective.
The announcement was made in a directive issued by the President’s Office.

The president made the decision under powers vested in him by Article 116(a) of the constitution.
