Customs seized more than 9 kg of drugs smuggled into Maldives by air.
Customs said in a statement on Friday that the items were seized during an inspection of an air cargo shipment, a postal package and a passenger on a flight. They include:

Customs initially analysed the suspected drugs and found them positive for four types of drugs:

349 grams of heroin seized from passenger on flight

582 grams of cathinone from the package that came in the post

5.2 kg of cannabis and 2.8 kg of ecstasy seized from air cargo shipment
