Dr Mohamed Shafeeq, former finance minister, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC).
The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB), which oversees government-owned companies, announced the appointment on its website, noting that Shafeeq joined the board on December 2.
Shafeeq previously served as the head of finance at HDFC before his tenure as finance minister.
He resigned from his ministerial post on September 30, after which President Mohamed Muizzu appointed Moosa Zameer, then foreign minister, to the role of finance minister on the same day.
