Ministry announces shop and café hours for Ramadan

Ministry of Economic Development on Monday announced permitted operating hours for shops, cafés and restaurants during the upcoming month of Ramadan.
In a statement, the ministry said shops are allowed to operate from 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Tuesday until the end of the six fasts of Shawwal, which fall within the first seven days of the month of Shawwal.
The ministry said cafés and restaurants providing food services may operate from 5:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. throughout the month of Ramadan.
In addition, cafés will be permitted to operate from 4:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. during the first seven days of Shawwal.
