Mohamed Lamaan has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Ports Limited following his resignation from Maldives Airports Company Limited on Thursday.
In addition to the management appointment, Lamaan was also named an executive member of the MPL Board of Directors on Friday.
At the same time, Ibrahim Ziyath was removed from the board.
The changes come as part of a wider restructuring of state-owned enterprises following this month’s council elections.
Recent changes across government-owned companies have included the removal of some executives, voluntary resignations and the appointment of new leadership.
