SDFC to set up Islamic bank for small businesses
Nazim said the new Islamic SME bank will provide all the services currently provided by commercial banks to small and medium enterprises.

SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) is working to set up an Islamic bank for small and medium enterprises.
SDFC COO Nazim Habib told a press conference held on Wednesday to announce the two new loan products that preparations are underway to open an Islamic SME bank.
“International consultants are now working with us to submit [the documentation for the license] to the MMA,” he said.
"Even if we don't get the work done at the pace we expect, hopefully, we will meet 2024 with the bank in place."
