President Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed on Sunday departed on a state visit to India.
The president’s state visit to India, from October 6 to 10, is at the official invitation of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

During this visit, the president will hold high-level meetings with President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other senior officials of the Indian government.
This is the first state visit President Muizzu is undertaking to India, since assuming office in November 2023.
