Muaz has also been associated with multiple political parties, including the Maldives Democratic Party (MDP), where he participated in President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's campaign. Additionally, he has been involved with the Maldives Thirdway Democrats (MTD) and contested the parliamentary elections for the Maavashu constituency.
Mohamed Abdulla, also prioritised by the president, is a former parliamentarian who transitioned from entertainment to politics. He previously participated in his party's primary elections to contest parliamentary seats.
