Maldivian adds extra flights for school holidays

The national airline, Maldivian, on Sunday announced an expansion of its domestic and international flight schedules to cater to increased demand during the upcoming school holidays.

This initiative will enhance connectivity to various parts of the Maldives, providing greater convenience for travelers across the archipelago.

In a statement, Maldivian revealed additional flights to 16 domestic destinations throughout the holiday period. This includes popular locations such as Fuvahmulah, Addu (Gan), Ha. Hoarafushi, and Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi.

Here are the additional flights added to the schedule:

  • Fuvahmulah: One extra trip on December 16, 17, and 19.

  • Ha. Hoarafushi: One extra trip on December 16 and 18.

  • Addu (Gan): An extra flight on December 16 and two additional daily flights on December 18 and 19.

  • Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi: One extra trip on December 17.

  • Ga. Kahdhoo: Extra flights on December 17 and 18.

  • Sh. Funadhoo: Additional flights on December 17 and 20.

  • Gdh. Faresmaathodaa: One extra trip on December 18.

  • B. Dharavandhoo: One extra trip on December 19.

  • Hdh. Hanimaadhoo: One extra trip on December 19.

  • Gdh. Maavaarulu: One extra trip on December 20.

In addition to boosting its domestic operations, Maldivian has also increased flights to popular international destinations, including Cochin and Trivandrum in India. These routes are particularly in demand during holiday periods, allowing for seamless travel options for passengers.
