Island Aviation chairman Mihad sacked
Mihad, who was also the Managing Director of IAS in the previous government, was appointed as the chairman of the company on January 9.
Island Aviation Services (IAS) chairman Mohamed Mihad has been sacked.
The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) made the announcement on Wednesday. However, no other person has been appointed to the post.
Mihad, who was also the Managing Director of IAS in the previous government, was appointed as the chairman of the company on January 9.
Mihad was appointed Managing Director of Island Aviation in 2021. With the change of government, on 28 November, Ibrahim Iyas was appointed to the post. Mihad was then transferred to the position of chairman of the company.
Mihad was previously the Managing Director of the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). He was also a board member of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
