President Mohamed Muizzu, following a recommendation from his cabinet, has decided to launch a nationwide campaign aimed at raising public awareness of road traffic regulations.

The decision was made during a cabinet meeting held on Sunday, following a proposal submitted by the president.

The campaign will be conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, and the Maldives Police Service.
