
Police seize phones of 9 over woman's fall
The Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Raud on Friday, citing that a "dispute" had occurred between him and Yumnu prior to the fall.

Police have seized the mobile phones of nine individuals in connection with the fall of 21-year-old Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed from a building in Malé.
Yumnu fell from the ninth floor of H. Fentenoege to the roof of the adjacent warehouse at H. Mitaz during the early hours of 17 April. Police are also investigating the passports of those who were present with Yumnu on the night of the incident.
Police confirmed today that mobile phones belonging to all individuals for whom seizure orders were sought have been confiscated.
"A total of nine people's phones were seized," a police spokesperson said.
Police had previously released the names of the individuals whose passports were confiscated. They are:

It is believed that these eight individuals, along with Yumnu, are among those whose phones have been seized.
Initially, police stated that no one other than Raud was directly involved in the fall. However, Raud was later arrested on allegations of non-cooperation with the investigation.
The Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Raud on Friday, citing that a "dispute" had occurred between him and Yumnu prior to the fall. The court order also indicated that Raud had informed someone that Yumnu's whereabouts were unknown and that she had "probably fallen."
According to police, Raud and Yumnu had consumed alcohol on the night of the incident. Raud subsequently tested positive for cannabis.
