The Prosecutor General’s Office has made new appointments to senior roles within the institution.
Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef has appointed two prosecutors currently serving in the office to the posts of Deputy Prosecutor General and Assistant Prosecutor General.
The appointments are as follows:

Aishath Mohamed has been appointed Deputy Prosecutor General. She has been employed at the Prosecutor General’s Office since 2011 and is among the senior legal professionals currently serving in the institution.

Hussain Samy has been appointed Assistant Prosecutor General. He has served as a prosecutor in the office for several years.
The position of Deputy Prosecutor General was left vacant following the resignation of Ali Sameer in October last year. The role was subsequently filled by Mahmood Saleem.
Mahmood Saleem will continue in his current role as Deputy Prosecutor General and will work alongside the newly appointed Aishath Mohamed.
