President Mohamed Muizzu has submitted two nominations to Parliament for membership in the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).
The nominations follow the upcoming expiry of the terms of two of the five members of the commission on 8 September. The positions were declared vacant, and the names of two candidates were sent to Parliament for consideration.
The President’s letter on the matter was read in Parliament Tuesday. The nominees are:

The terms of Vice-President Mumina Waheed and Member Aminath Shifaath Abdul Razzaq are due to end next month.
