Education Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu has called on students not to discontinue their studies due to dissatisfaction with their A-Level examination results.
The results of the examination, which took place in April and was sat by over 8,000 students, are scheduled for release at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
In a message posted on Facebook, Dr Shafeeu said the release of the results opens up multiple opportunities for students to continue their education. He highlighted three main pathways available:
-
Academic Pathway
-
Vocational Pathway offered at schools
-
Apprenticeship Pathway involving work-based learning
Dr Shafeeu noted that students should not view their A-Level performance as the final stage of education. He expressed his expectation that every student would choose one of the available options to continue their learning.
The government has introduced rules to ensure students can extend formal education from Grade 10 through Grade 12, providing a framework to support these pathways.
