According to the President, the government is already working to facilitate measures to strengthen judicial capacity and expedite pending cases.
He outlined several initiatives under way:
-
A new building has been completed to expand the facilities of the Criminal Court.
-
The judiciary’s budget has been allocated in the state budget.
-
The government will cooperate with any required amendments within the legal framework.
-
Full cooperation will be extended to establish checks and balances between the judiciary and legislature.
“The government is doing everything it can to resolve cases in the judiciary quickly. I want the cases that need to be brought to court to be resolved without delay. People should not remain in such situations,” President Muizzu said.
He added that he is confident the judiciary will make progress soon. “If a law needs to be amended through the legal system, the Parliament will fully cooperate with the government,” he said.
