All 90 arrested in drug operation are dealers, Ihsan says
Ihsan said the arrests were made based on intelligence gathered by police over a six-month period.
Home Minister Ali Ihsan said on Thursday that more than 90 people arrested during a nationwide police operation are drug dealers.
The operation, called Operation Alimagu, was launched in the morning across five regions with the participation of more than 500 police officers. By Thursday afternoon, more than 90 individuals had been arrested.
Speaking to state media PSM, Ihsan said the arrests were made based on intelligence gathered by police over a six-month period.
“According to intelligence collected during the past six months, more than 90 drug dealers have been arrested so far in the operation,” Ihsan said.

More than 100 locations linked to drug trafficking are being searched.

These include places used for storage of drugs.

Large amounts of cash, drugs and illegally smuggled cigarettes have been seized from checkpoints.
Authorities have said the operation will continue in the coming days.
