Police said the suspect has not been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
This is the third reported sexual assault case to emerge this week. The other cases include:

A 24-year-old woman who sought assistance from police on a street in Malé and was taken to hospital, where she was found to have been sexually assaulted. No arrests have been made. Police have not commented on social media rumours claiming the woman was gang-raped.
