Draw held for Binveriya land plots in Hulhumalé Phase III

The draw to determine plot locations for land allocated under the Binveriya housing scheme in Hulhumalé Phase III was held on Saturday.
The Ministry of Housing said the draw followed amendments to the land use plan for Hulhumalé Phase III, under which new plot numbers were assigned to beneficiaries. The draw was conducted to determine the specific areas of the plots allocated under the revised plan.
According to the ministry, the draw covered 698 plots and was conducted by designated ministry officials at Kalaafaanu School.
The ministry said only one representative per plot was allowed to enter the draw hall. Beneficiaries received their allocated plot numbers immediately via SMS.
The ministry said further details regarding land registration and agreements with beneficiaries will be announced after the completion of the draw.
The breakdown of plot sizes allocated in Hulhumalé Phase III is as follows: 181 plots measuring 1,650 square feet, 242 plots of 2,050 square feet, 132 plots of 2,450 square feet, 62 plots of 2,850 square feet, 41 plots of 3,250 square feet, 16 plots of 3,650 square feet, and 24 plots measuring 4,000 square feet.
The government has also announced plans to allocate 2,438 plots from Gulhifalhu and 5,187 plots from Giraavaru Falhu. In addition, land allocated to 1,347 beneficiaries from Giraavaru Falhu will be transferred to Gulhifalhu.
