The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has filed a complaint against a man accused of insulting Islam and the Prophet, the ministry said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the ministry said it had requested the relevant authorities to investigate the matter and take legal action against an individual who claimed to be receiving divine revelation.
Videos circulating on social media platforms allege that the man insulted Islam and the Qur’an during a live broadcast on TikTok. In the videos, he is heard stating that revelation was not limited to the Prophet and that he also received it.
According to information shared alongside the videos, the man is from N. Kudafari but is currently residing abroad. The ministry said it is coordinating with the relevant agencies to pursue the case in accordance with the law.
