The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said the fire broke out in the kitchen of a seventh-floor apartment at One Avenue.

In a social media post on Saturday, the NDMA said the kitchen sustained damage in the incident. As a result, the authority has provided the affected family with food assistance and temporary accommodation.

No further details were disclosed regarding injuries or the cause of the fire.
