Hamad school teacher Satheesh dies after 19 years of service
Satheesh Gopinathan, an Indian national, was found dead at his residence on Friday after reportedly complaining of a headache earlier in the day.
A biology teacher who served at Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani School in L. Gan for more than 18 years has died.

Speaking to Dhauru on Saturday, Gan Island Council President Afsal Jaufar said Satheesh had ended a tuition class early at around 4:30 p.m. and returned home after feeling unwell.
When he did not attend his next scheduled tuition class, colleagues and students went to check on him. Using a spare key, they entered the room and found him unresponsive.
Afsal said doctors believed Satheesh had died before he was taken to hospital. He said the cause of death is suspected to have been a heart attack, although no official cause has been announced.
A public viewing was held on Friday, with many residents attending to pay their respects.
Afsal said Satheesh was well known within the community and had taught several generations of students.
Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani School also issued a condolence message, stating that Satheesh had served the school for 18 years and nine months.
The school said his contribution to education had benefited generations of students and expressed condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and former students.
Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani School was established in February 1998. Secondary education was introduced at the school in June 2010.
Satheesh's body has been transported to Malé. Following the completion of the required procedures, arrangements are being made to repatriate his remains to India.
