Will replace officials failing to deliver govt pledges: President
The President assured these islanders as well that their island will be ahead in the development brought by his government.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday said heads of government agencies and companies will be replaced if there is a delay or failure in the implementation of the government's policy due to a change in their political attitude.
President Solih made the remarks days after Managing Director of STO Hussain Amr the government's largest business company, joined Nasheed's campaign by pledging support to President Solih's rival, MDP President Mohamed Nasheed in the MDP primary.
Nasheed has also been saying that the government has been implementing the policies of the coalition rather than implementing the policies of MDP and this has happened because there are more members from other parties in the government.
Addressing supporters at MDP office in G.Dh. Thinadhoo on Sunday, President Solih said that STO and MIFCO, state owned companies, have been entrusted with the task of implementing many policies related to fishermen. The president then said:

No government company or employee should hesitate to implement the government's policy

Government companies and offices are the places where the government's policy should be implemented

If there is a delay in doing so, he will make the necessary changes

MDP members employed in such companies should not be upset about anything; there will be job guarantee
"No company will shy away from implementing government projects and policies. A change in the political mindset of a company owner or employee cannot stop government projects. If we need to make a change, we will make it. None of the employees should be worried. We will continue with our projects," he said.
Reiterating in other islands, he said that this is a golden opportunity for the party to implement what it has advocated. Instead of taking this opportunity and taking to the streets again, it is important to implement the party's policies and retain power in the country, he said.
He said that despite differences with those who grew up with him, he had come out to retain the party's rule. He urged people to keep this in mind when the primary votes are held on Saturday.
"Whether we will sustain this development or remain on the streets is a decision we have to take on the 28th. The people who grew up with me are there as well. But I disagree with them when it comes to bringing development to this country," he said.
