1 more arrested over cafe vandalism
Police had previously raided an apartment in Hulhumale in connection with the attack on 'Juice Time'.
Another person has been arrested for his alleged role in the vandalism and destruction of 'Juice Time' cafe in Hulhumale.
The cafe, which sells food on takeaway basis, was attacked on January 24. Two men wearing helmets barged in and damaged the cafe with a hammer.
According to a message sent by the police to the media on Monday:

With this, only two persons have been arrested in connection with the 'Juice Time' vandalism case.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for his alleged role in vandalising the cafe. He has been remanded in police custody for 15 days by a local court on Monday.
Police had previously raided an apartment in Hulhumale in connection with the attack on 'Juice Time'. Seven persons were arrested in connection with the recovery of weapons and drugs from the spot.
A police spokesman said on Monday:

The court had earlier granted bail to five of the seven accused

They were ordered to remain under house arrest for four days

While one was granted conditional bail, one was released without being taken to court
A group of people with their faces covered barged into the cafe in Hulhumale and attacked it, and the next night, a man inside a shop in Male was stabbed to death.
Police Commissioner Mohamed Hameed said the cases were linked to clashes between four gangs.
