5% of Hajj quota reserved for patients with serious ailments

Maldives has decided to reserve 5% of this year's Hajj quota for those suffering from serious illnesses.
Maldives Hajj Corporation, the government's Hajj company, announced that it has decided to reserve 5% of its quota this year for those suffering from terminal illnesses.
Hajj Corporation says that those selected in such a manner should be those who pay for the pilgrimage through the company and have made it to the Hajj list.
Such individuals should be those who have not performed the first pilgrimage, the company said.
As of Thursday, those who have been included in the company's Hajj List will be able to apply for the seat. The submissions will be accepted till 2 pm on March 21.
While applying for allotment of space, the following has to be submitted:

Application form for special space for those suffering from serious ailments

Clear copy of ID card

Health Certification Form
The Islamic minister said the Maldives received 1,000 quotas for hajj this year and efforts were on to increase the number to 2,500.
