President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed concluded their official visit to the United Kingdom and returned to Maldives on Thursday.
The first couple travelled to London to attend the state funeral for the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth passed away on 8 September, at 96.
Following her demise, the Maldives observed three days of mourning with the national flag flown at half-mast. Before the funeral, the president and the first lady paid their last respects to the queen as her coffin was laid in state at the Westminster Hall in London's Palace of Westminster.
The president and the first lady also wrote messages in the Book of Condolences at London's Lancaster House.
Queen Elizabeth received the Maldives’ highest honour, the Grand Order of the Distinguished Rule of Ghaazee.
